How Does Local Compression Work?

Using Local Compression Mode, your images are optimized either in bulk or individually in the media library. You then may serve them locally from your website or media library, or use a third party CDN/Cloud as normal.

In this case, the smaller optimized images are saved on your server and if you were to deactivate the plugin, they'd maintain in that state.

You may locally compress your images, then switch to live mode for the added benefits of our lightning-fast infrastructure and Hybrid CDN - in this case you'd have the optimized images on your server, saving space as well as if you run out of live requests for the month, the locally optimized images will serve!
