Slider Revolution: Disable Built-in Optimization Settings

Slider Revolution includes its own built-in performance optimization settings. When using WP Compress, these should be disabled to avoid conflicts — WP Compress handles all optimization and the two systems will interfere with each other if both are active.

How to Disable Slider Revolution Optimization Settings

  1. In your WordPress admin, go to Slider Revolution in the left menu
  2. Click the Global Settings icon (gear icon) in the top toolbar
  3. Locate the two sections below and ensure all settings are turned OFF

Page Loading Optimization

Set all of the following to OFF:

  • Insert scripts in footer
  • Defer JavaScript loading
  • Load Files asynchronously

Modules Optimization

Set all of the following to OFF:

  • Force 1xDPR on mobile
  • Lazy Load on BG Images
  • Use internal caching

Leave Force viewport loading, ViewPort Distance if Forced, Default lazy loading in modules, and Third party lazy loading data at their default values unless advised otherwise.

WP Compress manages lazy loading, script deferral, and caching globally across your site. Leaving these enabled in Slider Revolution can cause sliders to not load correctly or conflict with Critical CSS and Delay JavaScript.

Save Your Settings

Click Save Global Settings once all changes have been made.

Still Having Issues?

If your slider is not displaying correctly after disabling these settings, reach out via live chat. In most cases the fix is a simple exclusion added to WP Compress for the Slider Revolution scripts.
